Marie Blanche Bridal Show last month was a great evening for everyone that was involved and the guests that came to see the show. Here we have some behind-the-scenes photos from the event, we also have the professional photos from Charlotte Elizabeth Photography coming up in another blog post. Here’s how the day went…
We started at the Marie Blanche Bridal shop on Doncaster Road to do hair and make-up looks. Hair was done by Bentley’s Hair Salon‘s Becca and Andrew, making beautiful curls and updo’s for the models. Make-up was provided by Nicola Whitfield and Gemma Louise to create all looks from natural beauty to glammed up.
After these models were done, we headed over to the Metrodome’s restaurant, The Rigby, where the fashion show was taking place. We met the rest of the models here to do their hair and make-up as well. Marie and Suzy from Marie Blanche Bridal set up the rest of the place, putting up curtains and rails for the dressing area and table tops for stalls.
Once all hair and make-ups were completed, it was time to get the models into the dresses, which took longer than you might think! Many of them had corsetting to do, large underskirts and buttons upon buttons!
As the show got underway, the models were lined up ready to go, they had the option to have a male model accompany them down the runway. They had their last tulle skirt puffs, straightening any material out and fixing any stray hairs.
After this we had a mid-show pause whilst the models all changed into their second dresses. During the break, the compere drew out the raffle and the guests could buy refreshments. The second set of dresses were ready to go, Charlotte was by the entrance to take beautiful photographs.
After the show, all of the guests could have a closer look at the dresses, have a look at the stalls on show and discuss making appointments with Marie & Suzi.
